Gronows Storage had been operating from East St Kilda since 1909. Many years ago I was in between studios and needed a space to store my equipment. On opening the door at Gronows, I was greeted by a gentle and sincere group of men who reminded me of the kind of men I met when I was a boy, shadowing my father. There was no computer or any modern tracking technology in sight. Most things were hand written, and they knew exactly where everything was.
